Uncommon Pursuits: Peach is one of four collaboration blends made with our good friends from Uncommon Cider. This beer spent 2 years in barrels that were home to the Uncommon Peach Cider.

Uncommon Pursuits is a collaboration with Uncommon Cider that started with a wild idea in 2019. That’s when Uncommon made four ciders and fruit wines using barrels selected by Blind Enthusiasm, which were released in 2021. The freshly emptied barrels were then filled with spontaneous beer at Blind Enthusiasm, where they fermented for two years, picking up distinct flavours from each barrel and fruit. Uncommon Pursuits: Peach was made in barrels that were home to the Uncommon Peach Cider. We hope you like it!

It's got that dull peachy colour. No head. The aroma is lightly fruity. On the palate, the cider comes through first, then the peach, and there's brett throughout with barrel. Good balance, but compared with the other Uncommon ones it's not one of the better ones.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma has plenty of mixed bugs, some husky toasted grains, soft peaches, and light acidity. Flavour has gentle peaches, light-to-moderate acidity, black pepper, toasted grains, and of course a nice funkiness. Very dry, moderately bitter, peppery finish. Definitely not one of the Blind Enthusiasm’s best, but it’s a respectable effort.

750mL bottle. Pours murky golden blonde with a white head. Lots of musty peaches on the nose; quite rustic. Flavour is rustic and juicy, great earthy yeast character, musty peaches, light acidity, black pepper. Very nice, earthy wild ale.
