Luscious raspberry! Browns Apple is a very popular variety due to its reliable growing habits and regular yield. It is a pretty pink and red striped apple that is actually rather good harvest fuel - its very tasty to eat! This bottling was fermented in a neutral container then aged in an oak cask used to make Foxwhelp Cider, resulting in a Browns with greater vibrancy and zing. A bright, zesty expression with raspberry leaf on the nose, perfumed apple blossom and tart red berries on the tongue.

750ml bottle from Middle Farm, Firle and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with lots of champagne bubbles. The aroma is crushed apple, subtle raspberry. The flavour is super dry, yeasty, funky, almost vinous palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Not too sweet and nicely sessionable.

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye. Clear orangey gold colour, thin rim and aroma of apple, mucky funk. Taste is sweet, appley, raspberry hint, zingy with some funk, woody oak barrel notes and drying acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry funky finish. Quite drinkable.
