Black with thin head. Aroma has liquorice and spices. Flavour is sweet and spicy. Cinnamon. Aniseed.

Sampled from tap at Bakker Roodenburg during Sinterklaas’ Entry. Black with tan head. Soft creamy feel, loads of spices, ginger, cardemom, cinnamon, aniseseed, moccha, caramel, chocolate, orange peel rind. Big sweet and bitter. Full body, soft carbonation. Lovely ontopic sipper for this season.

Tap at NBFD. Black with very dark brown head. Massive speculaas, ginger, roasted malts, coffee, light bread and ash, quite some dark berries. Medium sweet, light utter and very light sour. Medium bodied.

Draft at Nederlands Bieren Festival, (Winter) Delft. Black with a big brown head. Aroma really show of the speculaas, with dark chocolate, light roast, caramel, light coffee and toffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet and above moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
