Patient Rover is a Munich-style Dunkel that undergoes extended conditioning in our lager cellar. Pouring a dark chestnut color, notes of molten toffee, brown bread, mild chocolate, and caramel float above its wispy off-white head. A sturdy addition of Tettnanger hops provides balance and depth. Its long rest in stainless results in a striking clarity, softness in character, and tight carbonation with sticky meringue-like foam. It is thoughtful, elegant, and packed with nuance and character.

Explorations of style such as this are part of a broad undertaking to marry refined brewing acumen with time-honored tradition. In that spirit, we find Rover to be an absolute triumph. Enjoy!

Pours a deep, reddish brown, with mid-sized tan head. Aroma is roasted grain, burnt toast, a touch of chocolate, some leather. Flavors follow. Very smooth mouthfeel.

Charlton side pour, 9/18/25.
As pictured.
Long, mellow toast and baking cocoa chocolate with low hop character (light earth and dried leaves). Clean, with lovely minerality lingering.
Very chocolatey with an excellent malt depth. Chewy cocoa and vanilla notes lingering, with low toast. Very low hop character (makes sense due to extra conditioning). Very malty but dries out enough on the finish. Maybe a touch too chocolatey? Pretty big nitpick, though.
