In 1972, Jethro Tull released Thick as a Brick, album purported to make fun of the prog rock Giants (Yes, Genesis) in the day. Not everybody got the joke, as the saying goes. They went to number 1 is the US, and TAAB is considered by many to be a staple in the prog rock genre. So here we are with Bang the Elephant's Oldskool Twigg Merchant. Joke? Lets see.Ruby and clear with a big beige head, with aromas of oak, cinnamon and caramel which serve to entice rather than promote ridicule. Sweet taste, very oaky but not overdone. Medium body with enough carbonation to give it oomph. Maybe I'm not getting rhe joke because this is lovely.
