This year, we decided to do something unusual: brew a 100% wheat lager (you feel like a bad guy when you do this, because lager should be as clear as a tear), but at the same time simple and straightforward. It turned out to be a very pleasant and drinkable wheat with a floral-bread profile in the aroma, light as a feather. Perfect for the heat.
Catch a falling star. Make a wish. Do not tell anyone what it is about (although it is not difficult to guess).

330ml can. Pours a very slightly hazed yellow, white head. Aroma of bready, doughy malts. Taste is very wheaty as expected, prominent bready doughy malt flavour not too dissimilar from a Hefeweizen, but unlike that style it's still quite crisp and clean, none of the estery banana notes, floral, slightly sweet, low bitterness. Medium bodied, feels fuller than a typical lager.
Interesting wheat beer / lager hybrid. Honestly I'd rather have a regular Hefeweizen given the choice, but I enjoyed this. Really surprised I'm the first rater of this in the two years it's been available.
