The (literal) first fruit of our Sour Asylum series, Rapturous seduced palates from the first pour, earning it the honor of being our first canned sour. A lacto-fermented sour ale, matured on raspberry puree with a wheat and pilsner malt base, it refreshes with a tart and alluring fruit-forward flavor profile.

Not a bad sour, just one-note, a huge burst of insanely tart raspberry and not much else. Slight hints of grain and grass pop up in the finish, as does the mildest of earthiness in the fade, but otherwise just tart berry madness. Pours a ruddy pink with a thin white head and little lace. Sparkling, perky texture is just right. Drinkable, but nothing great.

Can, big thanks to Louie. It pours cloudy pinkish with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, tangy, loads of raspberry, funky, farmyard and barnyard. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, sour raspberry, granny smith apple, bright acidity, good mouth - pucker and dirty funk with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth, but very drinkable nonetheless.

12 oz. can. Thanks, Timmy! Purple color, with some bubbly head. The aroma is blackberries, salt, wheat crackers, and lemon zest. Sweet and fruity, with a light, easy tart flavor. Light to medium body, crisp, and sticky. This is a nice, fruity and easy sour.
