Poured from the tap @ Chicken & Beer at the Atlanta Airport (unfortunately missed a flight so don’t get to leave the airport). Clear orangey gold with small off white head. Sweet biscuit malt, generic pine hopping, feels a bit old school. Okay.

Double jeopardy--exactly why I usually boycott Georgia and their stupid super speeder rule. Grapefruit and pine. Golden pour with ok head. Light bitter end. Can.

Can thanks to Glen Keller. Pours light hazy orange with a medium white head. Notes of sweet strawberry, mango, booze, caramel, corn, grassy bitterness.

Got in a BIF from KMitch. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/4/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 10% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Outstanding Simcoe/Galaxy/C's profile. Extremely juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, very amazing style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

On tap at Scofflaw, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, some pine, and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is rather intense, with override stone fruits, perfumey notes and resins. Boozy, sweet and perfumey. The hops aren't well-expressed or balanced here. Difficult to drink.

Remarkably easy-drinking DIPA, smooth, sweet, and mellow, lacking much bite from the 110 IBUs listed on the can and missing any discernible boozy heat. Lots of toasted grain and caramel on the front, adding ample padding for the multifaceted hops--mango, pineapple, soap, berry, flowers, and pine all come into play. None of the hop notes are as prominent as you'd expect (especially the bitterness), but the lack of ABV warmth and the approachable malts make for quite the friendly hop bomb. Update 2021: The lack of warmth is still remarkable, but the hops are a bit too pungent, adding overpowering vegetal notes and leading to a hard pint to finish. Not sure why, but I’m not really digging a lot of my old Scofflaw favorites these days.

Can thanks to Seth. Pours a cloudy gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is pine and citrus. Medium body, pine, grapefruit, melon, resin finish, good.
