Fairly clean, but with particles floating around, dark brown colour with amber highlights. A warm, off-white cap stays a little and leave a foamy ring around the brew. The nose is quite oaky from the 9 months in a barrel. Also, some good roasted malts as base, and some nuttier ones in the background with darker fruit notes. A silky mouthfeel that is smooth, with not much dryness, nor a syrupy finish. The Bourbon, dark fruits really come out nicely in the flavours, with a tad booze, the vanilla-oak woodiness, and some apple notes. Not getting much out the mushrooms, but a decent Double Brown Barrel Ale all-around.
