Can picked up at their market stall at Ellon Castle winter market. It pours rich russet - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is toasty grains, cereal, nutty, brown bread, ryvita, dull caramel, cola and some dried fruits. The taste is crisp, dry, light bitterness, toasty, nutty, slightly charred edge, roasty malts, brown bread, earth, ryvita, caramel, cola and a touch of dried fruits. Finish is dry and toasty. Light body (but not thin) and moderate, foamy carbonation. Nice take on a classic, but now rare style. Enjoyable.

Can thanks to McCash. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of light malt, caramel, tea. Taste is more of the same. Light astringent, raisin at the back.
