Raspberries and sour beer is a magical pairing that creates something more than the sum of its parts: a perfect summer day in a glass. Our version of a Framboise draws inspiration from the farmland in the Santa Cruz mountains, where windswept hills have warm days and cool nights that result in tight, red berries with complex flavors and a ruby red-color. Combined with our sour blonde ale, the final blend highlights huge fruit flavor and the bounty of Coastal California. Pair with pancakes, seared duck breast and summer fruit tarts.

375 ml bottle from Beergium, bottled 08/08/16.
Orange-pinkish body, with a small, light pink head.
Aroma of fresh, sweet-sour raspberries mainly, medium wood, some vinegar.
Tastes of sour raspberries, wine barrel, vinegar, subtle vanilla
Medium to light, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes acidic, wooden, fruity, with lots of raspberries again, vinegar.
Tasty. Lots of raspberries, but also quite a lot of wine barrel, especially in the taste. Pretty complex more on the acidic side, while also with subtle sweet notes. One of my favourite Almanacs I've had, really lovely stuff.

12.7 oz. bottle. Pours a pinkish hazy pale gold with a fizzy white head. Heavily carbonated. Aroma of tart raspberries and oak. Taste follows nose with some sweetness and acidity and funkiness. Very good. Wish this was available in Texas.
