For this batch we took a page from our Bohemian Pilsner recipe with some slight modifications for a more rustic interpretation of a traditional “12° světlý lězák”. Utilizing a blend of several malts from the Bohemian-Moravian region along with hops from the Žatec region of Czechia, we left this lager unfiltered and unfined for a softer, fuller and more rustic expression of what Czech lagers can be. A special lager brewed for Pivo Fest!

Half liter mug draft at BKS Artisan Ales in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a nice white foamy head. The aroma is floral, hay and crisp cracker malt. The taste is the clean cereal malt, bright floral and crisp with the hay. The palate is light bodied, unfiltered, with active present carbonation and the crisp clean finish. Nice one.
