It's no great secret brewers love a good Westie, even if the majority of their output is hazy juice bombs. So when we started putting our heads together with the team at Full Circle to discuss our collab beer, the recipe quickly evolved into a WCIPA - but a modern one with no crystal malts and an all NZ hop profile.
This one features huge quantities of the best Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka we could get hold of from the outstanding Freestyle Hops. We genuinely think this might be one of our favourite beers to date with a huge heady aroma and bags of flavour. As with all of our West Coasts it finishes dry and refreshing. However, unlike most of our WCIPAs, we were left with a fair bit of haze on this one! Shock, horror! So there you have it, a modern WCIPA featuring punchy NZ hops complete with a slightly incongruous haze...

330ml draught at Cafe Sånn, shared with Finn. Dotted spots on the glassware from a filmy layer, hazy golden body. Hop fruity smell, mango and orange, inviting. Moments of orange to the taste character added by pineapple. Bitter fruity finish. Pretty good. (Tromsø, 19.12.2025).

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon rind and green pepper. Flavour of orange peel and yellow pepper. Medium o body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. An interesting IPA with a slightly savoury edge.

On tap at Craft Beer Junction. Pours murky yellow with a white head. Tons of vibrant pine and citrus on the nose. Flavour has floral pine and citrus peels; bitter finish. Pretty solid.
