Dull pale, hazy. Thin head. It's pretty tart, a bit yeasty, and has an apricotty sort of hop. So it's a decent kettle sour, and yes, it's a bit old school, but well made.

Bottle at random - super tart, maybe too bold for what I like in a sour. Still good

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/20/2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, melon, papaya, guava, orange zest, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of honey, hay, grass, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, melon, papaya, guava, orange zest, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of honey, hay, grass, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate lactic tart/sourness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, melon, papaya, guava, orange zest, wheat, cracker, light hay/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance, and zero astringent/puckering sourness after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with very smooth and moderately crisp/grainy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.8%. Overall this is a great dry hopped Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the balanced acidity. Very bright and flavorful on hop/yeast flavors; with a solid balancing malt backbone. A very enjoyable offering.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a slightly hazy yellow gold color with a large foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and sour yet dry with a lemon zest presence. The flavor was dry and tart with chalk, lemon and an astringent presence. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Keg at Sedona Charlottesville, 7/26/16. Clear golden, large white head, good retention. Aroma of tart lemon and mild pepper. The taste is lemon candy and jello. Thin. Odd.

Draft at the Keg Room. Clear golden pour with a clean white head and minimal lacing. Tart and a bit fruity on the aroma. Fairly light. Flavor is much the same, clean and tart/sour. Lively mouthfeel, light, easy drinking.
