Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this Double Black IPA brewed in collaboration with Revelry Brewing in Charleston, SC features Seashore Black Rye, a nearly extinct heirloom variety found in the Carolina Lowcountry and malted by Asheville’s Riverbend Malt House. At nearly 20% of the grist, this resurrected rye brings a spicy, earthy malt balance to the fruit and pine notes provided by a hefty hopping with Amarillo, El Dorado, Chinook and Cascade.
