Blueberry Cobbler is deceptively complex outing that features bready malts the dryness of fermented blueberries, light vanilla and blueberry aromatics. Strong, yet the flavors play well together.

A widely interpreted style that has its roots in the tradition of blending beers at the tap, porters are regarded as the first English ales with great followings. The modern Porter ranges from brown to deep black with ABV just as variant.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark almost black color with a purple hue when held to the light. Almost no head. Aroma is a strong blueberry smell. Taste is a fruity blueberry flavor that’s not very sweet.

16 oz. draft. Aroma is a steady amount of blueberry. Flavor is lingering soft blueberries and slight bready malt. Body is on the lighter side. It is fine.

I liked this one a lot more than I expected to. +++ Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet blueberry muffin. The flavor was blueberry muffin, sweet and yeasty with toasty malts and vanilla. As it warmed notes of chocolate and raisin came out. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol well controlled. Well done.

On draft at World of Beer in Arlington. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Blueberry aroma. Flavors of blueberry and chocolate. Does not do it for me.

bottle - This beer has a pretty good blueberry smell with some alcohol. The taste is sweet with blueberries and more of a boozy flavor than I’d like. There’s also something off in the background. It’s drinkable but doesn’t come together all that well.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 07/2014. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of fresh blueberries, pie crust, toast, chocolate, light caramel, and light herbal hops. Very nice aromas with good balance of blueberries and dark/bready malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of fresh blueberries, pie crust, toast, chocolate, light caramel, and herbal earthiness. Fair amount of roasted bitterness and slight tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of blueberries, pie crust, toast, chocolate, light caramel, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of blueberries and dark/bready malt sweetness; with a solid malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Would have liked less bitterness to let the blueberries and malt sweetness have better presence. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good fruit beer. Good balance and robustness of blueberries and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
