Enoy a SoCal summer year round with Tangerine Soul Style IPA. This delectable brew is a one-way ticket to taste bud paradise. Relax and take in the brilliant golden orange color and fresh aroma of effervescent tangerine and orange. Tangerine zest carries throughout, accented by bright, flowery tropical flavors and a sweet finish. Brewed with American caramel malts and a blend of Simcoe, Citra and Cascade hops, this is a beautiful brew to behold.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/28/2016. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of bright tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of bright tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and a slight astringency from the citrus peel bitterness; but nothing detrimental to drink ability. Large amount of dryness from hop/citrus peel bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and slightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This felt more bright and hoppy than the base beer; with a dryer finish and lighter malt presence. A very enjoyable offering.

Draught at Green Street, 2/21/16.
High clarity in this bright peachy-gold liquid with plentiful carbonation and a large white head that shows moderate to moderately-high retention.
Smells heavily citric with much more bitterness than expected. Grapefruit, orange rind, lemon rind, etc....with floral and honey-like perfuminess and lightly bready malts behind it. No alcohol noted or flaws.
Yikes this is a lot of citrus. Orange juice, grapefruit juice and a rather harsh carbonation with a "hard" texture from the malts. High attenuation, but still a bit of sugariness on the end. Moderate to high bitterness, extremely fatiguing/monotonous citrus character and hop acidity. Eh, very ready for the fruited IPA trend to pass....

Pours hazy orange into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Tangerine and marshmallow aromas. Soft and sweet with tangerine skin and segmented grapefruit upfront turning to pith in the lasting finish,

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy light orange with a nice large off-white head. Heavy tangerine in the nose - in fact, I spelled it before I even began to pour. Taste is tangerine, vanilla, pine, lemon zest. Good.

Best by date of 22 Jun 16.
This was poured into a tall tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a thin white little head that dissipated pretty quickly. Thin to swarming foamy white lacing sticks to the sides nicely.
The smell has the sweet tangerine pulp up front, shows a degree of stickiness, takes in light caramel malts underneath to balance nicely.
The taste was basically the same with a long bitterness riding up into the flavor. Tangerine starts to slide out in the aftertaste and leads slightly into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation feels good. Bitterness seems to play nicely as the appropriate harshness for the style.
Overall, Iโ€™d say this was really nice. Too bad, GF doesnโ€™t can, as this would be nice on a beach in the Summer or on my fishing boat.

Bottle from Total Wine in Huntington Beach, CA. Pours hazy orange gold with a white head. Med + body. Flavor is tangerine/citrus. Bitter. Sort of a one note thing. Would be good poo;/beach beer. Well, a San Diego Brewer might be forgiven for thinking every day is a beach/pool day. Itโ€™s a nice change of pace.

12oz bottle. Man, these fruit IPAs keep rolling in. Unfiltered dulled orange body. Thin, frothy off-white head. Maintains a solid level of hop bitterness to complement the tangerine. The tangerine is rather straightforward, of the extract variety. Iโ€™ll drink it, itโ€™s pretty good, but kind of boring too, I donโ€™t see myself buying another sixpack of this ever.
