This series has provided an opportunity to explore different hop combinations—each paired with Simcoe®. It’s been a little bit since we offered a new blend, and this one features one of our favorite experimental hops, Hop Breeding Company’s HBC 586, in combination with personally selected Motueka hops grown by our agricultural partners at Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.

Canned 7/7/26, drunk 7/26/26.
Tangerine and zesty (?) melon with juicy berry and ripe tropical fruit salad. Vibrant, clean, bright and very aromatic with a touch of honey and cracker-like notes from the malt to gently balance.
Excellent bitterness with a woody, lightly-to-moderately piney character this is not resinous or dominant. The poignant berry-like notes from the Krush seem to be folded in to the Simcoe, or at least I can't distinctly find them. The Motueka brightens and rounds things with its playful fruit salad. Nothing ever gets too soft or flabby, yet the supple malts, well-attenuated, easily balance and provide appropriate texture. Not always my favorite series, as I'm a pretty tough sell on [IMHO overly woody, acidic] Simcoe, but Hill almost always handles it admirably, as they do here.

On tap at Dive 106. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice dank citrus and light melon with some mango and grass underlying. Flavor is slightly juicy but also has a dank citrus and a slight grass bite in the finish.
