Both of our breweries love making and drinking lagers and there's also a shared love of those smoked beers like those of Schlenkerla and other Bamburg based breweries, so this beer is an homage to all those things.
Made with beech smoked malt, the chewy, smoky body makes for a mouth-filling experience for this savoury beer, but despite all this, it's still surprisingly refreshing and a wonderful pairing with cheese, cured meats and fish. Or a bag of surf 'n' turf (half frazzles, half scampi fries).

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A clear amber coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is nice big smoked malts, birch wood, authentic German smoke, bacon, some brown sugars, cottage fire. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, brown bread, brown sugars, rubber, smoked malts, birch, leather bound book. Palate is semi sweet, semi sweet, rounded, mellow carbonation. Lingering smoke,. Very good.
