In this version of Brew Your Friends Beer™, we brewed one of the bestest and brightest WEST COAST IMPERIAL IPAS on the PLANET. Alvarado Street Brewing has been brewing Double Cone since 2014, and it’s been one of the most decorated Imperial IPAs ever since. Most recently in 2023, it won a silver at the World Beer Cup. In 2020, it won a Silver at the GABF. The year before that, a Gold at the 2019 GABF…PLUS a 1st Place finish at the Alpha King. This beer is basically a BLINGZILLA. And it can be all yours, in Seattle, for the first time ever (PS - you can also find versions brewed by Highland Park, Green Cheek, Pinthouse & Cellarmaker). So, what’s the beer all about? It’s a fully saturated, high octane, tongue scraping palate wrecker with one of the most involved and intricate hop bill SOPs we’ve ever seen. This ever evolving recipe is mostly Simcoe, Mosaic, & Krush (T90s, Cryo, & Incognito) but there’s also some Warrior extract and Columbus Cryo in there as well, as well as some secret wizardry.

Slight haze, has a vague fruity nose, weedy, some lemon. It's a decent strong ipa

On tap at Ridgewood, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has bright, bitter piney hops, and some lightly sweet cereal malt to back. Flavour has plenty of sweet resinous hops, pine, and sweet cerealy bready malt to back. Well-balanced between hops and malty, finishing piney and lightly doughy. Excellent.

On tap at Ridgewood. Pours clear gold with a white head. Tons of dank, musty pine on the nose. Flavour has lots of musty, piney hops, resins, and a full chewy body. Great.
