Farmers, brokers, brewers and more and more consumers (like YOU!) are aware that there are lots of variables that alter characteristics in the same genetically identical hop variety – from ground treatments to location/terroir to pick window to picker type and kiln to storage and processing – and thus, not all Chinook/Cascade/Vista/etc is the same! So it makes this beer extra fun, where nuances of their farm shine through – the Chinook is more pine-like, the late pick Cascade more blood orange, the Vista more meyer lemon and rosey. And since we’ve teamed up with CLS in the past – for collabs, causes, and good times – we’re both donating some proceeds of this beer to the Yakima Wellness House!

Opaque, dullish colour, aroma is a bit minty, med body, moderate bitterness. Hop is a bit burny, malts are lacking. So this isn’t one of their better hazies.

On tap at Cloudburst on Shilshole, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fairly muddled in hop expression, with earthy hops, not much else. Flavour is rather muddled, with earthy hops, some doughy notes, and basically just a muddled hop bill that obscures any character from the hop varietals. Not terrible but pretty underwhelming.

On tap at Cloudburst - Shilshole. Pours nearly opaque dull yellow with a white head. Pale dry citrus, a bit of dankness on the nose. Flavour has pale citrus, pithy, chalky muddled palate. Standard, mediocre hazy.
