Single keg made
Inspired by an aqua fresca that Bo and the team from La Marea recently made, we collaborated with them to recreate it in saison form. Verano is a blend of saisons refermented with locally grown watermelon and then steeped with cucumber and mint. The end result is a 5% crusher that will have you yearning for summer days and another bite of their delicious tostadas.

Pale and slight haze. That is a lot of cucumber and a bunch of other things. Refreshing, cucumber, a bit of citrus, interesting.

On tap at Fair Isle, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Nose screams out with huge watermelon, followed by intense cucumber, rustic notes, and some mint. Flavour is likewise intense, with intense cucumber and mint upfront, followed by dry watermelon and rustic saison yeast. Highly carbonated and bone dry in a way that works very well. Odd experiment that works really well.

On tap at Fair Isle. Pours murky pale blonde with a white head. Tons of cucumber on the nose. Flavour has some peppery saison yeast, cucumber, some watermelon rind. It's clean and drinkable, but I don't love this combination.
