Aromas of banana, chocolate, roasted malt, and rum rise like treasure from the depths. On the palate, rich chocolate and rum lead the charge, followed by a surge of bold banana that drifts into warming rum and roasted malt. Medium-bodied and brewed with Omega Yeast’s Bananza Ale strain — a twist on the classic Hefeweizen strain that really cranks up the pure banana character. Aged to perfection for 1 year in GrandTen Distilling rum barrels, this stout is a true pirate’s bounty of flavor.

Woburn draught, 10/10/25.
Clear, dark. Small, tan head.
Fudgey chocolate and cacao-like notes with a very soft, floral rum character. Fruity esters from yeast and polished base malts adding light caramel. No booze or aggressive notes.
Fudge and soft cacao up front with a chewy-sweet flavor and texture. Rum adds a floral, vegetal, tropical character and while I don't get banana, per se, there's a general tropical theme achieved. Excellent flavors and nothing too sweet or boozey. Just a touch more body would elevate this to world class.
