Made with one of our favourite varieties Tremlett's bitter, this is the bottle that we're currently reaching for to accompany us at supper. The fruit was harvested by hand from a very old orchard which is very biennial so we relish the chance to work with this beautiful fruit every other year!

Dry with lemony acidity, silky tannins and a note of leather on the finish, pair this cider with spiced lamb or autumnal veg dishes. Drink now until 2030.

The story behind the cider:

Whilst our cider may contain no other ingredient but apples, nature provides a plethora of resources to turn bud to blossom to fruit. Golden sunshine and rainfall swell the apples whilst worms compost organic matter to feed roots in a delicate and complex system.

As humans, our job is to plant, protect and most importantly, to trust in this delicate ecosystem by treading lightly on the soil and entwining ourselves in nature’s wild tangle.

For minimal disturbance to the orchard, we allow our fruit to fall from the tree when it is ready and harvest from the ground by hand. A good amount of fruit is always left behind to feed both the soil and orchard creatures.

750ml wired cork bottle from Artistraw. Opened with a pop. Orangey gold colour, thin white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, caramel, barnyard funk hints. Taste is sweetish, appley, caramel, woody vanilla hint, drying, with some citric tartness and bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable
