Hops: Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe.
A blast from the past Imperial / West Coast style IPA. Massive aroma hopping and an intensely bitter hop profile all balanced with a caramel sweetness from a touch of crystal malt. This imperial IPA is heavily hopped in the kettle, whirlpool and dry-hopped with Centennial (dynaboost and hyperboost), Amarillo and Simcoe hyperboost (at 16g/l).

Can via the online shop. Clear bronze gold. Slim sticky fairly leggy white foam. Thought on first sniff this might be oxidised somewhat, but actually it’s probably the caramalt. Pine and old English marmalade. Bit of wood polish. You get the idea. Taste is sweet and sticky with a huge bosh of pine resin bitterness. Sticky on the palate too although I’d guess sub 8%. Lingering piny sappy bitterness to finish. Dunno with this. It’s a good beer but I’m sure there’s a bit of oxidation going on. Be interested to see if anyone else ticks it.
