This Festival Helles is our first collaboration with our good friends at Kirkstall Brewery, who came down from Leeds to brew this very special lager.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art reverse osmosis water treatment system, we could replicate Dortumund's water profile, giving this beer a more authentic touch. The beer has the malt profile of a Helles, the hop character of a Pils, and is slightly stronger than both.
Pils malt and noble hops are in good balance with a touch of malty sweetness: a smooth pale crisply refreshing beer, and a perfect accompaniment to every Festival. We hope you enjoy! Show Less

Thursday 16th October 2025. Cobweb tasting session with four friends, almost every beer being very old or just 'out of date' (mostly very old). My place being the venue. Cheers Simon for the 330ml bottle of this, only 13 months out of date. Perfectly adequate Helles, light and balanced with just enough hop content to marry together with the malt content. We think this might be one of Braybrooke's first brewed beers (the guy who designed and built the brewery was one of the people at this tasting session and three of them were at the Braybrooke tasting room opening night).
