One of our most popular imperial stouts is back with a Toffee-Nut twist.
Our full-bodied seasonal stout showcases layers of chocolate malt and oats, smooth toffee, and creamy vanilla for a velvety mouthfeel and a rich, nutty finish.

Can. Near clear very dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Fairly light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Rich tasting but light bodied dark malts, rich dark chocolate. A fairly nutty savoury vibe. Slightly tangy dark fruits. Light finish. Rich and tasty. To me, far short of the best cohesiveness, but overall, nicely pastry.

330 ml slimline can, as Vault City Toffee Nut Latte Imperial Stout, from Vinmonopolet Stavanger Tasta. ABV is 11%. Pitch black colour, minimal brown head. Distinct aroma of roasted nuts, peanut butter, toffee and chocolate, also roast malts, vanilla, lactose and hints of coffee. Very sweet flavour with the same elements. A dessert stout for sharing. I won't buy again.

Can from Havnens Vin og Tobakhus. Pours opaque black with small brown head. Aroma is intense roasted hazelnuts, walnuts, macadamia, coffee, cocoa, roasted coconut, toffee, syrup, roasted malt, and hints of raspberry. Taste is very sweet, light to medium bitter, light acidic, and light salty. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with intense notes of roasted nuts, toffee, coffee, milk, cream, vanilla, cocoa, and hints of door sour raspberry. Very rich and intense, yet in excellent balance.

Head fizzes out quickly. Of course it’s very sweet. Has some rounded sugary dark malts, a few dark fruits, roast, mild earthy bitterness. A little Turkish coffee. Sticky finish. Just about drinkable but there’s zero complexity here.
