Hazy, no head, has a light tan colour. On the nose, this definitely has an appley note, I mean it has turned into sort of a fermenting poop sort of thing, but also some sweet malts. Light body, again a bit of yeast wonkiness. So it ends up being okay, but you can sort of see there's a good beer underneath of that.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast, a touch of apples, and a little oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with bright apple skins, oak, rustic saison yeast, and a little wild character. Apples, oak, and farmhouse notes on the finish. Very good stuff.

Bottle at RBSG PGH 2016. #51 out of 200. Pale yellow. Mild easy drinking slightly hoppy beer. Smell and taste makes me think of a mild IPA or a stronger APA. Surprisingly civilized. You’d never know it was over 6%. Can’t taste the barrel thing either. Very well mannered beer! I found myself searching for the apple attributes.
