2017 vintage, have been waiting to open this for a very long time ! Pours a clear blonde. Scent is very inviting, and actually quite true to style! Brett, wood, funk, acidic (slightly sharp/fruity acidity , like AMLAM usually has, but in a good way - rare to find but usually a gem if you do.) . Recognizable AMLAM category, but certainly one of the better, and more towards true geuze than the average. Taste is quite sharp and rough, way more typical AMLAM. Bit astigent, woody, acetic drying finish. Medium body, medium to medium high carbo. Not a bad beer at all, enjoyable even, but very amlam forward - which is a shame after the promissing aroma. Still very happy to (finally) drink this one, it's been on my wish list for a long time, and an even longer time in my cellar. Age definately didn't ruin this one, as it has no negative age related features !

Bottle split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is pissy citric shreds, hedgerow, funk, spice, tarte orange, wood must. Taste comprises barnyard esters, dried fruits, lemon rind, damp hay, oak, vanilla, funk, green berry tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with moderate acidity. A serviceable enough Gueuze.

straw yellow. I think it tells like a lambic but a fairly one-dimensional one. the flavor profile again like an 18-24 month single barrel lambiek maybe with white grape added but again mouthfeel and complexity is pretty basic.
