This decadent imperial stout is a coffee-lovers dream. Brewed with rich, roasted beans from 47 Degrees Coffee—who happen to be the brewery’s next-door neighbours—this 10% beast brings waves of espresso, vanilla, and creamy sweetness. The name? A playful pun on the dessert affogato, and a nod to the brewery’s name, taken from the Victorian phrase “bang up to the elephant”—meaning “done to perfection.” And honestly, this beer fits the bill.

Keg at Brewdog Ealing, London. A black coloured pour with a thinnish beige head on top. Rich, sweet, coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla aroma and taste. Probably the best of the collabfest beers at this festival.

One of the few flavoured beers of collabfest that I enjoyed. Keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours with black with a thin tan head. Aromas of straight up coffee. No messing about. Taste is roasty. Light sweet finish.

Draft at BD Nottingham, as part of Collabfest '25/. Jet black with a slight tan head. Aroma and taste are malty slight bittersweet chocolate, with bags of coffee. A real punch of it. Rich creamy body.
