A luscious and decadent ryewine aged in German whisky barrels.

The initial taste mirrors the aroma - fairly sweet, with lighter toffee tones and a touch of vanilla warmth. The full-bodied mid-palate is dominated by freshly baked rye bread with a pleasant roasted edge. The long, lingering aftertaste is defined by whisky character, a gentle alcoholic warmth, and a raisiny sweetness that stays on the palate for quite some time. This rich and elegant beer has excellent potential to continue maturing and developing beautifully in the cellar.

Appearance
Deep dark brown, almost black beer with a thin golden-brown head when poured.

Nose
The aroma is big and complex. The first impression is dark toffee, followed by a hint of vanilla. As the beer opens up in the glass and breathes, a bold and lush whisky note emerges. In the background, there’s the comforting scent of freshly baked rye bread straight from the oven.

Malts
Munich light, Rye malt, Red rye crystal, Caramel 150, Caramel 300, Special B, Chocolate rye, Carafa special T-3

Hops
HBC 431, Sabro

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with very light head. Aromas of old oak, sweet bourbon, graham cracker, treacle, fruity raisins, slight smoke and rich toasted malts. Flavors of cognac, raisins, dark fruit, rich caramel, rye and toasted malts. Relatively boozy and sweet but understated for 15%. Big overall. Excellent.

(Keg at Põhjala Taproom, 20260530) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had wood, vanilla, sweet rye bread and light spiciness. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonat, sweetness ion. Flavours were burnt malts, wood, dark chocolate, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, wood and bitterness. A tasty burnt brew with sharp barrel notes.

Pours black, no head. Scent is bourbon, oak, fairly roasty. Not as rye-forward as expected. Taste is full, more rye forward here, roasty, fairly 'thin' and thus surprisingly drinkable. Low carbo. Medium intense barrel. booze is hidden.

Opaque colour, tiny beige head. Nose has rye bread, soya sauce, dark malts and touch of chocolate. Medium to full-bodied. Balanced, not too sweet, not too alcoholic. Rye bread, whiskey, roasted malts in the flavour. Nice spicey touch from rye. Awesome.

Flarra från systembolaget. Jo du här klunkar och en varm känsla i munnen framkommer. Finns smak av kaffedrink . Lite machiato och tydlig underliggande wirre . Mycket god . Här kommer extrem förkortad variant på omdömet .
Smakar = kaffedrink
- lite väl mye kaffe ☕️ och lite väl mye socker
