A luscious and decadent ryewine aged in German whisky barrels.
The initial taste mirrors the aroma - fairly sweet, with lighter toffee tones and a touch of vanilla warmth. The full-bodied mid-palate is dominated by freshly baked rye bread with a pleasant roasted edge. The long, lingering aftertaste is defined by whisky character, a gentle alcoholic warmth, and a raisiny sweetness that stays on the palate for quite some time. This rich and elegant beer has excellent potential to continue maturing and developing beautifully in the cellar.
Appearance
Deep dark brown, almost black beer with a thin golden-brown head when poured.
Nose
The aroma is big and complex. The first impression is dark toffee, followed by a hint of vanilla. As the beer opens up in the glass and breathes, a bold and lush whisky note emerges. In the background, there’s the comforting scent of freshly baked rye bread straight from the oven.
Malts
Munich light, Rye malt, Red rye crystal, Caramel 150, Caramel 300, Special B, Chocolate rye, Carafa special T-3

Sampled at Billies day 1. Opaque black color, medium sized light brown head. Smell and taste malts, an odd kind of nutty flavor in there, can't get my finger on it. Rye? Very weird. Kind of soy sauce but different than the usual. Odd, not my thing. 7-6-6-7-6

7/XI/25 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival Day 1 - Session 1 (Antwerp), BB: n/a (2025-1102) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, dried fruits, a little malty, a bit earthy, sweet impression, caramel, sourish impression. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sugary, alcohol, a little bitter, lots of chocolate, sourish touch. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, caramel, alcohol, soft roast, chocolate notes, sticky, a bit too sweet and sugary to my taste.

100ml draught, sample tray at Pöhja Konn. A deep copper coloured body under a film-type layer, scattered lacing. Attractive on the nose with caramel and almond. Solid taste of caramel malts, nuts, and almond. Long-lived, mid-dry, caramel malty finish. Mouthfilling. Good drinking. (Tallin, 06.11.2025).
