PA aged on oak staves w/ Krush & New Zealand Cascade • 7.2% ABV
In true Blood Brothers fashion we had to engineer a way to replace the malt profile of a west coast IPA without using malt. We decided to break down our imperial stout barrels and use the staves to age these in stainless on wood, a great way to add depth and flavour without risking oxidation of this hoppy product. The west coast ipa was a big deal when we first started getting into craft beer and we've enjoyed watching the trends in this style and how it has evolved over the years. We feel this version is a perfect balance of old meets new: complex, aromatic, and balanced.
Notes: a classic west coast aged on staves, dryhopped with NZ Cascade and Krush, which bring forth vanilla notes, big citrus, and grapefruit.

A lightly hazed golden ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous piney hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light pine needles, OK.
