Can shared by Steve. Cloudy, bright yellow, big head with excellent retention, splotchy soapy lacing. Aroma is strong candied citrus and pineapple, oak, slight musty cat box late. Taste follows aroma, minus cat box, but the oak is more pronounced and seems to subdue the sweetness of the citrus; sweet pineapple remains and addition of apricot. Smooth texture, lively carbonation, crisp, somewhat dry finish with light bitterness. Oak is a pleasant addition to this beer. Some very nice elements.

I got this 16 oz can at the Total Wine on Hulen St in Ft Worth about a month and a half ago. Great Heights tulip glass ready to receive, I open the can and tilt into the glass. I see tons of carbonation through the clear yellow-gold body topped by a heroic head of pillowy arctic white foam. The scent is rather nice for a beer in the style that I am not wild about. Yellow fruit, some tropical, a bit of hops and grain, I call this a good start. The taste follows, nice enough. Guava, apricots, crackers, an oak influence and more of the hops. Some sweetness but I get more bitterness. The oak provides a nice focus over the standard. Better than average for a hazy IPA.
