Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, light grain, a dash of flowers, some citrus and stone fruits with a strong hit of sugars - mainly caster sugar - noticeable. Medium to Full-bodied; Robust malt and alcohol presence with a large floral and resinous side along with a touch of alcohol, more astringent hops and a little honey and sweet notes with the yeast very present. Aftertaste shows some flowers, a good hit of the resin and piney flavours and then a lot of the hop and bitterness from some more malty and earthy notes that shows some Simcoe or Warrior notes moreso than any of the 'newer' hop varietals and more akin to an 'older' school Imperial IPA. Overall, a nice and balanced Imperial IPA with a lot of malt, alcohol and sugar and less so of the hops, especially on the citrusey and fruitier side. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Springfield, Virginia on 20-October-2019 for US5,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Williamsburg (where the brewery is from!), Virginia on 24-October-2019, just four days later.
Hop juice but also dry notes that make for a unique taste. Lots of papaya and melon notes.

Pours a nice dark amber from a can, some lacing. Grass, stone fruit, a little dried apricot, both in aroma, more forward in flavor. Ends with a nice bitter finish, not overly sweet to begin with, well-balanced. Good beer.

Bottle pours with a murky deep copper body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up malty sappy pine hops and little else. The taste delivers a nice blend of bitter pine hops and then sweeter malts. To midway it gets a little floral in hops as well as lingering bitter pine hops. Tasted on the cold side but pretty tasty.

22oz bottle. Poured a beautiful golden orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was a sharp hoppy aroma of citrus and pine resin. Incredibly tasty with a mild malt sweetness and a juicy hop character. Alcohol is in there, but it’s really smooth and easy to drink. This beer was amazing.

Very nice. Lots of peel and some citrus, pineapple. Orange pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish with some tang. Tao at Red Apron.

Tap into a snifter showing lightly filtered orange with a finger of clean white foam. The nose is subtle with clean guava and very light tropical fruit. The palate is moderately carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of juicy tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, a bit of kiwi) and a clean juicy finish. Still dry throughout and just in general a very well made IIPA.
