Bold yet balanced, with resinous hop character, soft caramel malt, bright citrus, and a delicate floral lift—a beer inspired by the wild beauty of the trails it helps protect.

Amber, bright, medium head. Toasty nose, crystal malt is bright, excellent expression, I mean there are other malts in there too. Pommelo, dark crusty bread, mint, complex hop. Medium bitterness. One of the best 5% red ales I’ve ever had.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a hazy dark reddish amber with a small white head. Nose has a bright minty character, with big chewy bready malt, toasted caramel, and resinous hops underneath—that mintiness is quite prominent. Flavour is amply bitter, with plenty of resinous hops, piney bitterness, big bready malt, chewy toffee, and again with some mintiness. Bold hops combine nicely with the solid malt structure. Very good.
