This German Style Hefeweizen is a throwback in homage of Cambridge’s most lasting nickname. Golden-yellow and hazy in appearance, this brew is a combination of American and German ingredients. Complex yet subtle, a faint sweetness immediately hits your palate followed by a distinctive wheat note. Notes of banana and clove are detected on the finish.

$2.99 can from Gillys. Popped open and shoots right out of the can all over me. No i didnt shake it. Aroma is copper, wheat. Smells old, and by the explosion I’m guessing that’s the case. Flavor is sweet bubblegum, too sweet, wheat, banana. Flavor is the best part but it’s not great.

Draft at Lost & Found. Closest I’ve come to a German here (other than Live Oak), near perfect all around except for the pour. Wonderful consistency and feel, basic essences of banana and clove are present. Just need a half liter pour in a weizen glass to be sure.

Canned on 12.06.16. Just slightly hazy, big head. This is a grainy, less estry version of a hefe. It’s dry grain with dry banana toast. Not burnt just dry banana. Flavor is mineral, overly clean banana mineral. Ehh, I’m just so not into this beer.

12oz can. Poured a vibrant, bright, and totally hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light citrus, plenty of banana and wheat notes. Flavor was light, banana, wheat notes. Touch of citrus in this. Decent, plain hefe.

Can at the bottle share. Light golden straw color with adequate haze. Nose is light wheat, faint spice, and a bit of yeast. Nice flavors of wheat and grass, some banana and a little bit of yeast. Faintly spiced.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a cloudy very pale yellow color with a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was egg white, phenol and a bit of bread. The flavor was egg white, phenol, bitterness, bread dough and a touch of lemon. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not good
