They say Charleston is one of the best cities in the world, so what better place to find our favorite IPA? Named after the street that Palmetto has called home since the beginning, Huger Street IPA is our downtown Charleston version of an India Pale Ale. Significant dry-hopping contributes to the aroma and flavor of familiar citrus, while caramel malts and white wheat keep things balanced with a subtle, simple sweetness the likes of which you can only find in the South. It may seem just as easy-drinking and polite as you’d expect a Charleston beer to be, but don’t turn your back on it – it’s a surprise heavy-hitter. Go ahead and have a sip, we insist. Just make sure you pronounce it like a local – say it with us – hue-gee.

Can 0,33ltr: hazy orange colored with an very dry bitter taste, hints of resin, grapefruit and an little bit of caramel. Very first tick from South Carolina an d its an dry one.

A golden amber ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light treacle, light dank notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light cereals, light treacle, pleasant.

Nice malty IPA with a a earthy floral hop bitterness. Grapefruit peel bitter aftertaste. Good for the style, reminds me of Dogfish Head

Sampled from a can this beer poured a dark orange color with a huge creamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with tropical fruit, pine and leather. The flavor was sweet, tangy, moderately bitter and a touch rough with pine, floral hops, tropical fruit and leather. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

Can from De Bierkoning @ home. Pours a hazy deep golden color with floating particles. Aroma from the can upon opening is quite resinous. From the glass it's resinous with some tropical fruit, light caramel. Retronasal it's Flavor is quite bitter with light malty sweetness and some fruit. Medium bodied. Still a firm earthy bitter finish.

Can. Earthy pine, grapefruit peel, wheat malt, and orange aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Mildly sweet citrus, wheat malt, and moderately strong bitter/dank grapefruit peel and pine flavor. Good body. Very hoppy.
