Named after the elusive creature with the head of a shark and the body of a boy that first swooped in on a broom during construction of the brew pub, this imperial IPA can elevate a bad day to good. The Witchshark is shy and mischievous, but once you let him into your heart you’ll see why this intense brew is such a popular one.

Highly drinkable, with well-balanced bitterness, restrained malt character, and tons of tropical mango and tangerine notes.

A hazed amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth biscuit malt with floral hops, light piney notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice smooth grassy malt with floral hops, nice and piney. On tap at Sessions 99, June 23 2012.

Amber w a slight haze. Aroma is minty w other herbs. Lots if sweet sugary malts, too. Moderate bitterness and lots of pale malt sweetness. Earthy hops and finishes with a little extra bitterness. Decent example, glad it is not too chewy.

Smells fruity and hoppy. Taste has heavy bitterness with some more fruit. The high alcohol is hidden well in the taste. Good to better than average for style. Carbonation is a little high - I bet this would taste better on cask. Floral, bitter hoppy notes have a long lasting power, especially as you breath. On tap at Bellwoods.
