Sour Ale Aged On Peaches
Drinking this medium-bodied beer is like biting into a juicy, yet tart, peach. Farm to Face is brewed as a pale ale and then fermented for ten months in stainless tanks with house yeast. After primary fermentation, Pediococcus, Lactobacillus, and a whole lot of peaches are added. Aromas of green apple and graham cracker accompany a lingering peachy finish.

The flavor shows mild funky yeast and yogurts like hints right through the center of the sip with a "fuzzy" peach that balances it all out. The peach is natural and has a light juicy texture that becomes fuzzy, like biting into a fresh peach from the tree. Very low lactic acid or sour hints. Very balanced sour ale, nice.

Poured from tap at Novare Res thanks Willrunforbeer. Pours orange gold with a nice white head. Aromas of peach and mild funk. Taste is nice and tart like lemonade but the balance is amazing.

Sadly, (or maybe it’s a good thing?) I didn’t realize this was made with peaches. Nonetheless, the beer was delicious and a bright (minimally hazy) golden-copper with a small white head that slowly recedes to a ring.
Cheesey, funky lactic acid in the nose definitely announces it as quite sour, with plentiful stonefruit, light lemon and dry, but not underutilized, biscuit-like malts. No alcohol, nor flaws.
Tart, for sure, in the mouth, not aggressively sour, surprisingly, with the soft lactic character blended artfully with the fruitiness to give a fruited yogurt sort of flavor, though some definite biscuity, crunchy grain character helps keep it very dry and crisp. Sourness builds, somewhat, on the finish, but the tight carbonation and supple texture help balance. Very well-done sour. No messiness, no diacetyl and the fruit integration, a big quality I like for in fruited sours, is near flawless here.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is moderately peach forward with some moderate acidity and citrus notes. Light grain character. Faint funk. Pours a cloudy, pale golden orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor starts with a moderate acidity and some nice peach notes. Some lingering acidity and peach with a bit of citrus. Low bitterness. Finish is a bit lacking. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with a nice peach and acidity, but not enough funkiness. I would have liked a bit of oak as well.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours a cloudy gold medium frothy off white head. The aroma is funk, oak, and peaches. Medium mouth, nice peach, light funk, oak, tart finish, very nice.

The beer is yellow-gold in color. Medium to small white head. Fades after a minute. A little bit of lacing. The aroma is peaches, oak and white wine. There’s a decently sour note, mostly lactic, quite nice. Mild funk. The fruit isn’t terribly strong but it’s sweet and natural. Taste is medium sour. Very tasty blend of wine barrel, fruit and sour. Easy to drink and pleasant. Fairly dry, though the peaches still taste sweet and fresh. Medium pucker. Some oak bitterness. Excellent beer. A very easy to like sour.

Thanks Heather. This was $13.49 @ Beverage King in Lebanon Nh. Enjoyed fridge temp in a snifter the day of purchase.
A - It’s a slight golden color. small head but nothing substantial although it did have a nice cork pop.
S - The nose is nice. A bit sweet, a lot of peach, white grape, grape skin, oak and a brett funk. I get some sour candies on the nose and some blue cheese.
T - Taste is actually pretty nice. Very juicy, nice freshness and a puckering finish. The sour is a bit too much for me but it does have a 1 year Lambic + fresh peach taste iwhich is really nice. Almost no bitterness. Aside from the warhead sour candy taste, there’s a lot of positive aspects to this.
M - Thin, pretty oily, slight carbonation on the swish.
O - Decent sour ale, still too sour for my liking but the peach is a nice redeeming taste.

Bottle generously shared at Al’s of Hampden, thanks! Slightly hazy bright golden color. Nice aroma of peach and haystacks. Taste is siftly sour summer stone fruit, lightly tart and dry finish. Very nice.
