North Coast Tart Cherry Berliner Weisse is made with the juice of Michigan Montmorency cherries, whose addition softens the lactic finish of the beer and gives it a springtime blush.

Optisch schönes Aprikosenrot, kaum Schaum. In der Nase sauer, etwas Kirsche. Im Trunk angenehm sauer, dezent tartig, fruchtig frisch. Dürfte gern etwas intensiver sein.

355ml bottle. Clear, faint, rosé colour with small to average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, white head. Rather weak, lactic, tart-ish and minimally fruity aroma, hints of sauerkraut, a touch of cherry. Taste is tart, lactic and sweet-ish, minimally artificial, fruity, notes of sauerkraut, hints of cherry. Watery texture, slightly astringent palate, coarse, prickly carbonation. Disjunct tart and sweet (sauerkraut and cherry) flavours, disharmonious, minimally overcarbonated - underwhelming.

Bottle thanks to Kyle! Pours a clear amber orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart cherry and a bit of wheat with some light spice underlying. Flavor has cinnamon and tart cherry with a bit of sweet wheat supporting.

12oz bottle. I know I rated this one as a bomber, but it is backlogged, so here we go again. A rather well done sour cherry Berliner. Bold sour tones, pleasant cherry. A little overcarbonated but that is suitable for the style. Sharp, dry. Solid example of the style. Nice more natural cherry tone.

$3 at vintage estate. High hopes for this clear bottle, its almost orange in look, but with a little amber in there. Drank it right out of the bottle at almost room temperature, ambient too. Taste is quite nice, enjoyable and friendly, so many manners! Surprizingly good at this temperature. Fun easy non tummy burning tartness, yeah! Man, I can't wait to get another of these at near freezing temp and gulp it down. Good, balanced tartness, never biting sour, just the right thing, even without salt, hheeehehehe. Yes, fun, yum and then some. Really nice creamy head in the end. Very like-able!

[On tap at the Hopscotch, Fullerton, CA.] A pale straw pour with a pinkish tint and a fast fading white head; weak cherry aroma; crisp and dry in the mouth, and full of tart sour cherries - just like it says on the tap - followed by a clean finish with just enough sweetness to balance the tartness of the fruit. A rather good Berliner Weisse.

12 ounce clear bottlef from Woodman's Menomonee Falls, 3/18/19. Slighly hazy pink, head is off-white with a pink tinge, four-fingers in a goblet, dense and foamy, and good retention. Aroma of tart lacto, earth, tart cherry, pale malt. Taste is tart cherry pie filling, lemon, hints of funk. Medium bodied, bright, crisp, refreshing, bordering on juicy. Overall nice
