Our version of a strong golden ale was brewed in the tradition of the Belgian Tripels. A short residencey in charred Vermont Barrels adds another dimension to this malty and fruity beer. Tannic and vanillin character along with herbs and spices dominate the aromatics of the influential yeast strainsused to produce this assertive, yet delicate ale.

Taster pour on tap at NH Brewfest. Appearance is lightly hazy, golden yellow with no sparkle, thin cap of off-white head, light leggy lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, tart, fruity esters, wheat, mild clove. Taste is strong flavor--almost boozy, not in a bad way but assertive--wheat, sweet fruit, tart fruit, hint of grains of paradise. Very nice. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and lively kick at the end and finish as taste. Overall, little bit more boozy than I'd like and not super sweet, but a nice, strong sipper that is well crafted. Quality.

Draft at the source. Amber/ golden in color, thin head. Aroma is toffee, spicy yeast and fruit hints. Flavor is malty upfront and turns into a peppery yeast bite in the finish.

ABV is hidden well. And only noticed after the glass is empty. Body is medium. Soft carbonation level with the texture becoming dry. Overall very good and a classic Belgian inspired ale.

Howler from the brewery. Mostly clear light golden color with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet honey like maltiness spicy light peppery earthy yeastiness. Light alcohol warming. Really clean well made Belgian style brew.
