4 oz pour on draft at City Tap House during the SAVOR Week event. Dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of toasty notes, malt, cookies, caramel. Tastes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, malt, cocoa. Medium-full body with a dry finish.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy tan head. The aroma was lightly sweetish, malty and oddly fruity The flavor was port wine, cocoa, toasty malts, very noticeable alcohol, cherries and plums. The finish was long, tart, port, plum and sugar with a pervading alcohol presence. Thick and full bodied. Way too boozy and a touch disappointing.

Light brown. Fruit nose with some chewy malt. Sweet and fruity, it finishes with a shot of alcohol. Some decent caramel bu not much dark malt. Nothing Baltic about it. Disappointing.

Growler shared by beerbill - hazy amber pour, with a thin ring of fizzy lace - nutty aroma, with light fruity components and doughy character which caries over into the flavor - hazelnut and a little acidic fruity tang (raisins, berries) which seems odd - doesn’t appear to be a lager, as is appropriate for the style - a bit of roast and chocolate in the finish - okay.
