Draft @ the brewery. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty caramel and licorice finish.

Dark brown with a small beige head, good lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and chocolate. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate and ashy

Draft at the source. Clear brown color, tan head. Aroma has coffee and chocolate. Taste is bitter and earthy coffee grounds.

on nitro-pours a creamy rich light brown head that laces and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt-roasty/chocolate. Taste is dark malt-roasty/bitter chocolate/molasses.

A deep dark brown ale with a good moka head, creamy. A light chocolate aroma. In mouth, a thin powdery bitter chocolate and roasted coffee. Light but good. On tap at brewpub, August 2007.

On-Tap at the Eldorado Brewery Hotel Reno, NV Pours out a nice black topped with a great cream tan head. Nice aroma of roast malt and coffee. Tast of sweeness and coffee. Very thin on the palate. Sorry to say not there best brew.
