This was poured into a tall tulip (Boulevard style).
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated nicely. Lacing slid into the body.
The smell had the cucumber up front, sweet with a delicate crisp vegetable to seed-like fresh quality about it. Botanic gin qualities slide in underneath with a crisp/sweet edge.
The taste started off sweet with all of the previously mentioned qualities about it. Saison qualities do come out with a light peppery/spicy sort of Belgian quality leading into a light breadiness all around. Semi-sweet sticky Belgian bready aftertaste leading into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a slight sessionably sweet quality about it. Carbonation runs good - fairly light.
Overall, saison, well, it works, but the \"gin-barrel\" aging, hmmmm....in my opinion, I’d say, this one to probably wait on closer to end of its best by date to perhaps get some more \"gin botanticals\" to come out.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Cloudy golden orange color. Aroma of haystacks, straw. Cukes are more pronounced in the taste, but it’s for sure a saison first, with a cukey edge and nice peppery funk. New word, I know.

22oz bottle from the brewery
Pours cloudy pale golden with a small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is fruity, melon and cucumber. Taste is fruity, finishes bitter slimy cucumber and gin
I don’t get this one. I didn’t expect much and it delivered.
