Listed as half pipe original recipe on my $2 reddish orange can of sour pale ale. No picture on this label. Almost at room temp. Big giant foaming pour and head on an otherwise pale yellow beer. Not munch aroma, considering the messiness of the nose. Yes, a medium high APA that is soured. Hides alky content fairly well. Goes down pretty easy considering the temperature. Nottah lottah co2.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Yellow. Great sour aroma with fruity hops. Tart lactic flavor, fruity. Medium-bodied. Very nice and refreshing.

Not bad. Aroma is a nice tart blend of hops, caramel malt, a little lemon, and other fruit. Flavor loses almost all of the hop, leaving mostly the slightly lemony tart beer. Good body. Very drinkable. Wish the hops would’ve stayed into the flavor.

Pours a hazy, brownish-yellow, with good-sized, quickly dissipating head. Aroma is grassy, but kind of a sour, rotting grassy. Flavor is very sour, with some citrus and a weird kind of cleaning fluid or soapy flavor running through it. Not my thing. Mixing sour with IPA or pale ales is a bad idea. Drainpour.

Tallboy can dated BB 9/11/16. Poured into Uerige glass. Hazy dark golden color. A kettle soured hoppy beer, this is a surprise from Tallgrass and also something that would regularly turn me off. But at the first sniff of the aroma I am intrigued. Peachy, tary, fruit skin aroma of hops and lacto. Cool mix. Flavor is only lightly tart but great mix of fruity flavors from the hops and fermentation. Fizzy carbonation finish and ends lightly drying.

16oz can pours a clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has heavy lemon and vitamin C, mild perfume. Flavor has lemon, lime, a little seltzer. Some off putting industrial character too.

Can at the Local DC Tasting. Clear pale yellow with off-white head. Aromas of floral notes, yeast, light citrus. Tastes of lemon lime citrus fruit and peel, light tart notes. Light body with a dry finish.

16oz can. Hazy, unfiltered orange body. Not much of a head. Pleasant lacto tones, mild tropical citrus tinged hops. Sort of like a session Icelandic Pants of the Dead, the big tangy hops and lacto are each more delicate. A little underwhelming for the style, but enjoyable.
