Myrtille is a golden sour ale aged in neutral wine barrels. Two pounds per gallon of fresh, whole blueberries contribute an earthy and tannic backbone to this uniquely southern sour. When the time is right, the barrels are blended to achieve the perfect balance of blueberries and house brett culture.

Keg at Bottle Shop. It pours cloudy rich purple drank with a pinkish - white head. The aroma is musty, funky, barnyard vibes dirt, manure blueberry skin, ripe cheddar cheese, earth and damp hay. The taste is crisp, tart, bright acidity, good mouth - pucker, tart blueberry, blackberry, juniper, grape skin, vinous, musty, earth, old wood and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Good fun, if perhaps a bit too acidic, but fun stuff anyhow.

Bottle. Pours clear magenta, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is funky, feet, musty basement, fruits, oak. Flavor is quite light on the tartness with a fair bit of funk and a nice berry accent. Lightish body, soft and light carbonation. Pretty good.
