For this traditional English Bitter we used a base malt of Maris Otter, which brings biscuity notes as well as British grown Goldings hops with an English ale yeast strain which leaves a pleasantly fruity finish. Released as part of the Canopy series where we explore more traditional styles.

From tap at Røør, Oslo, with Christer 14.04.26. Amber. Some off-white head. Fine aroma and taste of slightly roasted malt, syrup, caramel, wood and marmalade. Would have loved to try this on cask.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Light brown with a small ring of off-white head. Light woody smell, touch of peaches not much else to it really. The beer has a bitter taste, quite full and a little astringent. Light body with low carbonation. Impressive if almost too simple.
