The malt bill includes a nod to this style's origins with judicious additions of Marris Otter and a medium dark British crystal. But the hops are a salute to our friends in the Pacific northwest: Chinook, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra. Hoppy, but not bitter.

On tap at the brewery, pours a caramel amber with some cloudy, white head. Nose has orange peel, potpourri, pine, soap. Flavor follows, pithy, lemon, orange, soap, some caramel and crystal malt. Dry and bitter finish.

4 oz pour on draft at The Public Option with DCLawyer. Impromptu stop on the way from 3 Stars to Atlas. Slightly hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes, light pine, caramel, biscuit. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, toast, biscuit, light pine, caramel. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden amber color. Pineapple and citrus aroma. Taste is bittersweet citrus. Nice.
