A strong Australian-style ale. Pacific ale is an emerging style that uses fruiter hops grown in Australia and New Zealand, for this US brew the team used Aussie galaxy hops and a combination of malts for smooth, tropical notes.

Rich golden coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, tropical fruits, herbs and a little malt - but this one is all about the hops. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy flavour at first of hops with a small but noticeable light malt backbone showing some herbs, tropical fruit and a hint of unfinished sugars. Aftertaste shows a lot of metallic and nutty malt with a big alcohol presence, some light grass and the smallest hint of sugars at the tail end. Overall, a strong and pungent beer that shows some nice flavours throughout, but not too much complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant in Falls Church, Virginia on 04-March-2016 for US$1,75 sampled in my hotel room in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 20-May-2016.
